At BKT Germany, we develop polyurethane systems under the Flexonal® brand, precisely tailored to your production processes and end products. Whether high-strength housing parts, soft acoustic cushions or food-grade compact systems - we combine chemical expertise with decades of practical experience with elastomer casting machines.
Your advantage with BKT - we formulate from a minimum quantity of just 100 kg polyol (plus isocyanate), ideal for special applications and medium-volume series production. Our Flexonal® systems cover the spectrum from soft elastomers to rigid compact systems.

Integral Foam Systems (Soft/Semi-Rigid)
The perfect balance between a soft core and a robust outer skin.
Properties
Molded part density 220 to 600 kg/m³, Hardness A 10-90 Shore, Excellent abrasion resistance.
Variations
Viscoelastic (memory effect), antistatic or hydrophobic adjustment.
Applications
Ergonomic armrests, grips, seat cushions, operating table pads, control knobs and safety padding.

Rigid Foam Systems
Maximum insulation and structural stability.
Properties
Densities from 35-120 kg/m³, special packaging foams from 5 kg/m³.
Thermal Performance
Excellent thermal insulation with lambda values from 22 mW/mK.
Applications
Thermal transport containers, beer keg jacketing, window profiles (foam filling), structural foam for bathtubs and technical water fittings.

Flexible Foam Systems
Comfort and acoustic management on point.
Properties
Molded part densities from 55-250 kg/m³, compression hardness individually adjustable.
Variations
Barite or chalk-filled for high-efficiency acoustic applications; heat-resistant up to 150°C.
Applications
Vehicle seats, office chairs, medical pads, orthopedic insoles and sound-absorbing components.

Rigid Integral Foam Systems
Lightweight meets mechanical durability.
Properties
Shore hardness 35-85 Shore D, tensile strength 3-16 N/mm². Density 220-900 kg/m³.
Advantages
High stiffness at low weight, excellent paintability and laminability, often self-releasing for fast cycle times.
Applications
Housing parts, high-insulation energy-saving windows, cold clamps, pipe supports and lightweight decorative elements.

Compact Systems

Properties
Densities from 1000 kg/m³, hardness spectrum from 10 Shore A to 85 Shore D, tensile strength up to 60 N/mm².

FDA/food grade approval, UV-stable, lightfast, extremely impact resistant.
Applications
Electrical potting (insulation), concrete formwork, stair treads, filter potting and industrial protectors.
